If you have a requirement to install the DNL reader manually, please follow the simple instructions below. It is a very fast, one time installation of approx 1.5Mb. Please note that this is not normally required as the install is automatic through the web browser.
If you are using and reading your books inside web pages, you will see below that it is automated to install the reader this way.
Manual installation viewing
1. Please ensure that you are logged into Windows using an account which has permissions to install software, e.g. Administrator or Owner.
2. Download the DNL reader to your PC from: www.specialistmedia.com/download/dnlsetup.exe
3. Double click the dnlsetup.exe file to install the DNL reader.
4. Close the DNL reader installer and double click any DNL file to view it
In web browser viewing
- Please ensure that you are logged into Windows using an account which has permissions (e.g. Administrator or Owner) to quickly install the software to enable the ebook reader installation - approx 1Mb
- Click on the WEB link to view the book inside a webpage.
- If you have not installed the DNL reader before, it will be automatically downloaded by the web browser. This installation process is only required the first time you install the reader.
If you are using Internet Explorer: After the reader is downloaded, a yellow bar will appear at the top: "This website wants to install the DNL Reader from DNAML PTY LTD, click here to install it." Click on the bar and select "Install ActiveX Control". If a Security Warning appears and asks for permissions to install the control, select Install to install the reader.
If you are using FireFox: Click the where it says, "Click here to download plugin". Then click Next to download the DNL reader then Finish to complete it.
If you are using a MAC, please use VirtualPC for MAC to view the book using the above steps.
4. If you wish to save the book to your PC, right click on the book then, Save As to your PC. When you want to view the book again in future, just double click on the DNL file on your PC.
